Landon's First Pinewood Derby

After Cameron's last time doing the pinewood derby last March, here I am again with Landon for his first year.  He had sometimes made unofficial derby cars in the past when seeing his brother do it, so he starts out with some experience.

Last night he took 2nd place overall out of about 20 boys.  We were all very excited, especially considering his car fell off the track almost half way through the races and lost some of its weight.  He had lots of fun designing, sanding, and painting his car, and I had fun helping him put weights on his car and teaching him how to reduce friction in his axels and wheels.
