I hope all of you father's have had a wonderful day today, as I have had. Eve started the day by making me a delicious egg burrito breakfast. Then at church, I was able to help Haylee give her first Primary talk. Although not specifically Father's Day oriented, it was a treat to have her do a great job after practicing with her the last few days. She gave a 1 minute talk on prayer and repentance, talking about Enos and his prayer experience. I helped her by wispering to her what to say and then she would repeat it out loud. It was great that she gave the talk without being too scared to give it at the microphone in front of the rest of the Primary. After church Eve made one of my favorite meals, chicken rolls, and then we went as a family to the Botanical Gardens at Tilden Regional Park, about 30 min. from where we live. The gardens are a really nice place to walk around, with over 600 different species of plants and flowers. There are lots of different windy paths, much like a maze, which made it really fun for Haylee and Cameron. They would lead the way and were in charge of picking which way we would turn at each junction. The area felt very enclosed and set apart from the rest of the park, which made it feel very peaceful and perfect for a nice Sunday afternoon walk/adventure.
After coming home we had homemade ice cream and the kids are now pretty much ready for bed. That is, after we play a little Portal (a puzzle video game) together....
